[[UNIX/32V|https://www.bell-labs.com/usr/dmr/www/otherports/32vscan.pdf]] is a discontinued version of the Unix operating system released by Bell Labs. It is a port of the 7th Edition Unix to Digital Equipment Corporation's VAX 11/780, a 32 bit computer done by Tom London and John Reiser. Although UNIX/32V did allow larger programs, it was still swap based and did not implement virtual memory. London and Reiser convinced their management to allow them to send a copy to the University of California at Berkeley, where it became the basis for 32 bit versions of BSD. | [[https://www.bell-labs.com/usr/dmr/www/otherports/32vscan.pdf|UNIX/32V]] is a discontinued version of the Unix operating system released by Bell Labs.
